La Petricia farm was born from the idea of combining tradition and innovation, with a particular commitment to enhancing and preserving the native vines, always respecting the environment.
It is located in Cori, in district Vignale della Selva, already visible from the road that climbs towards the town of Cori. A breathtaking panorama, with the winery located on a hill and surrounded by vineyards in a unique atmosphere. Other vineyards are also located in Olevano Romano , in district Colle Forma, on the slopes of Monte Scalambra: the volcanic soil of the area is ideal for wine production
Starting from December, you can come and visit us at our winery to purchase our wines and discover the place that makes them so unique.
Ruby of medium chromatic intensity. Elegant in the smell with aromas of currant, cranberry and cherry. Interesting spicy notes of licorice and tobacco also appear. The sip leaves memories of cloves and sweet cinnamon with almost silky tannins. It is long, persistent, as well as enveloping, intense and long-lasting. It pairs well with red meats, aged cheeses, and game.
KONE
Kone comes from “Cone”, a dialectal term used to describe the “shrines” that were located along country roads and served as a gathering place for the community. The same term was also used to refer to the undulating hills of the territories where our Cesanese wine is produced.
The Quattroviole wine is crafted by blending Cesanese grapes from four distinct vineyards, each with their own unique pedo-morphological characteristics. The Quattroviole wine is the result of a pursuit to craft a wine that truly captures the essence of the region, featuring prominent floral notes. Over time, this blend has become recognized for its unique and identifiable violet characteristic.

OUR WINEYARDS

The word Petricia comes from the Latin pètra, meaning “rock” as a solid and timeless entity. This idea is embodied by the Roman milestone, an emblem of our company.
In ancient times, the milestone marked the distances along the most ancient and important Roman roads. To us it represents the way to go, step by step, towards the achieve ment of our goals, first of all successfully promoting the excellence of our territory by preserving and improving it.
